    Description

    Up for sale is an original
    BARQ'S ROOT BEER SIGN from the 1950's. It has never been displayed - Bright & Colorful.
    This sign, along with others, were rescued from a warehouse in Biloxi, Mississippi in 2007 shortly after Hurricane Katrini devastated the area in 2005. The light stains on a portion of the white border is from Katrina water. I was fortunate to purchase a small quantity of them about 5 years ago and sell them at a reasonable price.
    Authentic old advertising signs, especially soda, beer and automotive are highly collectible. Tin, steel and porcelain signs in very good condition have skyrocketed in value over the past several years. Recently on eBay, a tin 8" x 20" Barq's sign with scratches, rust and other faults, similar in style to the cardboard sign I am listing, sold for

    . Vintage cardboard signs are increasing in value but are still reasonably priced and can be just as attractive as the metal signs, especially if framed. This Barq's root beer sign from the 1950's has
