  • Condition: Good-Very Good overall antique cond: A very scarce & very early Boston, MA wood box soda advertising crate. Estate fresh and new to the marketplace, this circa 1890's Daniel Bernhard & Co. soda manufacturing co. once located at 9-11 Sarsfield, St. in Boston, MA, has wonderful, stylized black ink stamped western sidewall typography. The wood box crate hasn't been varnished or lacquered & still enjoys its orig, naturally aged & oxidized wood finish & antique surfaces. It only has a few superficial scuffs & abrasions, otherwise its finger joined corners, upright sidewalls & wood plank floor are all intact & don't suffer any material loss, fractures or repairs (old or new.) The short sidewalls also are stamped w/graphic iconography, making the entire 4 walls of the crate boasting ink stamping. The 2 short sidewalls feature built-in side lifting handles. The inside of the box crate is dry and none of the ext or int surfaces are plagued by dark or lt stains. 130 yrs old. Early. Very rare.
