  • Condition: Good-Very Good overall vint cond: For sale is this recently disc & very well-pres, very scarce & quite early, vint Mission Orange Beverages of Worcester, MA wood box advert crate. It dates from about 1920-1935 & is vint pre-WWII. It has wonderful black & orange ink stamped sidewall graphic iconography on all 4 sidewalls. The typography is an early highly stylized, footed Western font, characteristic of earlier late 19th-early 20th c stamped graphic iconography. The crate feats all wood construction, w/nailed corners & nailed tin reinforcing edge strips. The short sidewalls have cut-out side lifting handles & the wood floor is comprised of 2 wood planks. The int of the box is highlighted by wood slat dividers that split the int compartment into quarters. This is also another feat of an earlier wood box advertising crate. Prod in Worcester, MA, Mission Orange soda was from an earlier time when New England soda bottlers were prevalent & found in nearly every New England state. Terrific.

The interior of the box is highlighted by wood slat dividers that split the interior compartment into quarters. This is also another feature of an earlier wood box advertising crate. The crate has naturally dry, matte surfaces and hasn't been varnished or lacquered to enhance the ink colors. It remains as it was found, untampered with, 100% original and completely undisturbed.
