    Description

Sardinia souvenir pendant depicting Phoenician "grinning / sardonic" mask from 4th century BC.
This pendant is a handmade, artistic rendering
of the ancient Phoenician-Punic mask found in 1876 and currently kept in the National Archaeological Museum of Cagliari.
It is executed in white bisque ceramic with blue glaze on front and edges.
Orange tag (in Italian) describes it as an
    amulet against evil spirits.
Most likely, this is a souvenir from the above museum's shop, which is currently discontinued. Museum continues to sell other renderings of the mask, but not this one.
Condition: New, unused with original tag.
Size: adjustable length, blue amulet  is 2" tall, 1.5" wide.
