Vintage 1966 Dirt Diggers Grand Prix Motocross Enduro Motorcycle Race Program

An original event program from the 1966 Dirt Diggers Grand Prix and International Moto Cross meet.
This appears to often be referred to as the "Hopetown Grand Prix" and is seen as an important event as it was the first time international riders were invited to a premiere American enduro event. The statement to the interior of the front cover elaborates on the controversial move and a split from a larger sanctioning body for this year (likely the AMA).
The statement goes on to clarify that this is actually the 8th annual Dirt Diggers event, though it seems to be the first welcoming international riders, hence the designation as "1st" to the front cover.
This was held Nov. 19-20, 1966 on a three mile course outside of Los Angeles.
This is a scarce program and is in near fine condition (measuring approximately 8 1/2" x 7"). It is fresh to market from a large archive of material belonging to important figure in California motorcycling history, Lynn Wineland.
